Syrian Arab Air Force MiG-29s provided cover for a group of Russian Su-25s during a joint combat operation this week.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense said the Syrian MiGs flew to Khmeimim air base in Latakia to meet up with the Su-25s. The Syrian pilots visited the base beforehand to familiarize themselves with Russia radio protocols.
