RAAF to produce its first woman fighter pilot this year

The Royal Australian Air Force is expected to have a woman fighter pilot to join its ranks this year, Air Force chief Air Marshal Leo Davies told Fairfax Media.

She is currently assigned to 76th Squadron and is progressing well to complete her fighter pilot training by end of June.

Davies predicted that the service will have five to six female fighter pilots by the end of this decade.
