Libyan Air Force chief confirmed that one of his MiG-23 was shot down

Libyan Air Force chief Brig. Gen. Saqr al-Jaroushi told The Associated Press that one of his MiG-23 was shot down near Derna on Feb. 8.

The fighter was pounding Islamic State positions around the town when it was brought down by anti-aircraft fire. The pilot managed to eject.
