This KC-135 crew saved an F-16 pilot from ejecting over ISIL-terriority

An F-16 pilot had an inflight emergency while on a mission over ISIL-terriority last year. His stricken jet had only 15 minutes of fuel but luckily for him, a KC-135 from the 384th Air Refueling Squadron was around to save his jet from fuel starvation.

The fighter was in the midst of an aerial refueling with the tanker when its fuel system broke down in mid-air that left the plane with only 15 minutes worth of fuel. The tanker had to keep refueling the jet all the way back to its base during the ordeal.

After dealing with the emergency, the crew continued with its mission with a 100 percent success rate.
