Lockheed Martin comes up with new sensors for F-15, F-35

Lockheed Martin told reporters that its next iteration of the electro-optical targeting system (EOTS) for the F-35 will be ready for testing on the company’s Sabreliner test aircraft this year.

Simultaneously, the firm is also bracing itself for the contest to equip the F-15C with an infrared search-and-track (IRST) pod. It faces competition from Northrop Grumman’s OpenPod IRST system, Flight Global says.
