F-35As from Eglin employs GBU-12s for the first time

Two F-35As from the 58th Fighter Squadron dropped two GBU-12s at Shelby Range Complex, Florida on Mar. 3. This is the first time the F-35As assigned to Eglin Air Force Base have employed their weapons.

It wasn’t straightforward to do weapons on these F-35As assigned 33rd Fighter Wing as they were produced during earlier production phases. Physical and software modifications were required before the weapons drop.
