It was a UAE Air Force Mirage 2000-9D that crashed in Yemen today and Black Hawk helicopters were dispatched to the scene for combat search-and-rescue. The crew however did not survive the crash.
UAE state news agency WAM identified the pilots as Zayed Ali Al Kaabi and Mohammed Obaid Al Hamoudi. The crash was due to a technical malfunction, Saudi state news agency SPA said.
