KC-46 encountered issue while transferring fuel to C-17

During the transfer of fuel in mid-air from a KC-46 to a C-17, testers found that the boom’s axial load was higher than expected. This setback could delay the type’s Milestone C decision in May, the U.S. Air Force has said.

Boeing spokesman Todd Blecher said his company had expected such issues to crop up during testing. Reuters said a fix for the anomaly is expected to be tested in mid-April.
