U.S. Army wants navigation software that allows drones to scout for ground vehicles

The U.S. Army is solicitation the industry’s help to develop an Autonomous UAS Navigation system that will allow unmanned aerial vehicles to scout ahead of ground vehicles.

The software needs to be clever enough to allow the UAV to venture just 60 meters ahead of the vehicle and match speed with the ground vehicle once the distance has been achieved.
