Canada takes another look at joining GMD system

Canada’s ruling Liberal Party government is seriously looking into joining the U.S.-lead Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system and Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan is soliciting feedback from the public on the issue.

Back in 2005, the Canadian government had rejected Bush’s offer to participate in the program and in 2014, a Senate committee had urged the Conservative Party-lead government to join the GMD system as a partner.
