MV-22B refuels the F-35B on the ground, air-to-air refueling next

The first ground refueling between a F-35B and a MV-22 tilt-rotor was carried out on Apr. 28 at Edwards Air Force Base.

The one-hour test consisted of hooking up fuel transfer lines between the two aircraft with the MV-22 fueling up the F-35B.

Maj. Adam Geitner, pilot and VMX-22 F-35 Detachment Aircraft Maintenance officer, revealed that the next step would be refueling in the air.
