Japan, South Korea, U.S. to conduct trilateral missile defense exercise ahead of Pacific Rim

South Korea announced that it will join Japan and United States for a trilateral ballistic missile defense exercise in Hawaii on Jun. 28.

The exercise will take place two days before the Pacific Rim exercise and each side will contribute a Aegis destroyer. The ships will track simulated ballistic missile targets and determine if they exchange the tracking information among each other.
