U.S. Army’s High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck can destroy UAVs, quad-copters and even laptops

The U.S. Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command brought its High Energy Laser Mobile Test Truck to Fort Sill, Oklahoma in April and the test bed was able to shot down “a large number of UAVs and quad-copters” plus a laptop.

Exercise participants were impressed by the 10-kilowatt laser – which require two-cups of diesel to generate enough electricity to shot down a target.
