Chinese researchers have rebutted an oped piece on USNI News that suggests supplying Tomahawk cruise missiles to Japan. Chinese experts said that the AGM-109 would pose a threat to other countries in East Asia.

Téng jiànqún from China Institute of International Studies said the idea of supplying the cruise missile to Japan is not new. Back in 2013, there were discussions to bring the weapon to Japan. He believes that Tokyo will eventually have this weapon.
