China, Russia kick off computer-simulated BMD command post exercise

China and Russia have commence their first bilateral computer-simulated ballistic missile defense (BMD) command post exercise, dubbed Aerospace Security-2016.

Russian Defense Ministry press service told journalists that the exercise is taking place at the scientific research center of Russian Aerospace Defense Forces, and it will end on May 28.

The Russian side is headed by Chief of General Staff Air and Space Forces (VKS) – First Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. FSI Paul Kurachenko, Chinese side is lead by Chief of Staff of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force, Lt. Gen. Ma Zhenjun.
