Canada to buy Super Hornet before launching fighter competition

According to Canada’s National Post, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet has decided that buying an interim fleet of Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornets is the way to go while procrastinating on how to proceed with the new fighter competition.

A source was quoted as saying that the decision has been made and officials are putting together a “right narrative to support it.”

  1. Boeing offered us the same deal that McDonnel Douglas had, were we could build our own airframes and avonics, I think it was a licensed deal, they offered us this, and we turned it down.

    I almost want the US to absorb us
