Canada brought its CC-130J to Edwards AFB for electronic warfare testing

Canada wanted to know how well the ALR-56M radar warning receiver would fit with the Defensive Electronic Warfare Suite and aircraft mission computer on the CC-130J during the Block 7 upgrade. For that purpose, it flew one aircraft to the Benefield Anechoic Facility at Edwards Air Force Base to find out.

The electronic warfare data collected during this testing will be shared with partner nations as part of an agreement signed last year between the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom and Australia, the press release said.
