Information published on the U.S. Federal Business Opportunities website revealed that Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with Boeing for the integration of the AGM-84 Harpoon anti-ship missile on the Saudi F-15SA.

Solicitation Number N00019-16-P2-PMA-201-0267 disclosed that the contract award is anticipated for the third quarter fiscal year 2016.
NAVAIR justifies the sole-source award as “Boeing alone has the experience, special skills; proprietary technical documentation, software/algorithms; facilities and manufacturing techniques required to produce, assemble and integrate this equipment and furnish the supplies and services within the required timeframe. ”
