Development work on KF-X’s radar to start next month

Hanwha Thales said it will start work to develop the active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar for South Korea’s Korean Fighter Experimental (KF-X) program next month.

Chang Si-kwon, chief executive of Hanwha Thales, told reporters in Paris that the first prototype radar will be ready next June and if its successful, an upgraded version will be made available in 2018.
