A Vietnamese C212 transport plane assigned to search for the missing Su-30MK2V fighter pilot has gone missing on Jun. 16. Local media cited officials as saying that contact with the aircraft was lost around noon local time.

Meanwhile, the other Su-30MK2V pilot who was rescued has spoken about the crash. Maj. Nguyen Huu Cuong said the jet was approaching Mat Islet when it develop problems. Shortly afterwards there was an explosion and both men decided to eject.
