The Strategic Weapons System Ashore (SWS Ashore) facility at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Launch Complex 25 has been completed, Space Florida announced on Jun. 16.
SWS Ashore’s function is to provide long-term shore-based testing capabilities to proof modernized submarine missile systems.
This installation will play an important role in the upcoming U.S. Navy program to replace the Ohio-class nuclear ballistic missile submarine.
