The union and the aerospace company are both negotiating on a new contract to replace the current four-year contract that expires on Jul. 10. For this round, the union is asking for a five-year contract plus a 38 percent pay increment.

If both sides cannot agree by Jul. 9, the workers could choose to go on strike.
