At 0810 hrs local time today, a Republic of China Ching Chiang class patrol ship ROCS Jin Chiang (PG-610) accidentally fired its Hsiung Feng 3 supersonic anti-ship missile.

The accident is said to have happened inside Zuoying naval base while the warship’s crew were undergoing a drill.
The Navy said the missile landed into waters off the islands of Penghu and no one was injured as a result.
