Chinese airliners land at Mischief and Subi Reefs today

China sent two of its civilian airliners individually to Mischief Reef and Subi Reef in the South China Sea today.

The first aircraft to depart from Haikou Meilan International Airport was a China Southern Airlines flight CHN6200 – an Airbus A319-112 – at 0830 local time. It was followed by a Hainan Airlines flight CHN5798 – a Boeing 737-84P – 10 minutes later.

Flight CHN6200 landed at Mischief Reef while the Boeing airliner landed at Subi Reef. Both aircraft return back to Hainan Island in the afternoon. Flightradar24 data indicate both landed slightly after 1400 hrs local time.
