The crash of a P.1HH Hammerhead unmanned aerial vehicle prototype on May 31 has resulted in a two-month delay in the delivery process for the Italian Air Force, the Piaggio Aero revealed.

The company also disclosed that a pilot was on board the aircraft when it went down and a second prototype was on its way to UAE on the same day of the crash. It is also waiting for the Italian authorities to give the green light to resume flight tests.
