B-52 has drop JDAMs from internal bay for first time

For the first time, the B-52 bomber has managed to drop the the Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) precision-guided bomb from its internal bomb bay.

The weapons drop was carried out to certify the new Conventional Rotary Launcher being developed for the legacy bomber.

With the successful test, testers at Edwards Air Force Base will be moving forward to dropping the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile, Miniature Air Launched Decoy and the MALD Jammer from the new launcher.
