Investigators found cause of ROK Army UH-1 crash

The investigation into the crash of a South Korean Army UH-1H crash in Chuncheon on Feb. 15 found that the rotor-craft’s hydraulic servo valve had failed while the aircraft was in a hover.

Three of the four on board were killed in the accident.

The Army said it had inspected all the servo valves on its UH-1 fleet after the mishap and reinforced training on how to handle such failures for its pilots.
