North Korea moving Nodong IRBMs southwards

South Korea says its northern neighbor has moved its Nodong intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) closer to the south in an attempt to thwart the THAAD air defense system.

An expert from the Institute for National Security Strategy(INSS) told KBS that a shorter range allows Pyongyang to fire the missile at a steeper angle, the missile can then achieve a higher velocity during its terminal phase.
