USAF Secretary says she’s not briefed on A-10 replacement

Secretary of the U.S. Air Force, Deborah Lee James, said she found out about the service’s proposal to complement and replace the A-10 attack jet from the news as she has not been briefed on the program.

“So far I have read about this in the news. I have not actually seen a proposal on any of this that has come forward to me. So it sure is pre-decisional. It hasn’t been decided on.”

She also cautioned that funds are not available to carry out the dual proposals.
