Passengers on Alaska Airlines Flight 80 had rare chance to watch Blue Angels mid-air refueling

Alaska Airlines Flight 80 was flying from Anchorage to Seattle on Aug. 1 when the airliner chance upon the U.S. Navy Blue Angels carrying out a mid-air refueling near Yakutat.


The crew sought and got permission to descend to 28,000ft so that passengers aboard can get a clear view of the refueling. The Blue Angels were on their way to Seattle for Seafair events.
