Peterson AFB hit by hailstorm

Airmen at Peterson Air Force Base were caught off guard on Jul. 28 when a severe thunderstorm starting raining baseball-sized hail at the installation. Several C-130s from the 302nd Airlift Wing were damaged as a result.

F-35, F/A-18F out to impress Canadians at Abbotsford International Airshow

The Abbotsford International Airshow is taking place on Aug. 12 and this year, the F-35 will make its debut in Canada. Not to be outdone by Lockheed Martin, Boeing will be represented by the F/A-18F.

First official photo of PLAAF Su-30MKK mid-air refueling with Il-78

Chinese state media reported on Aug. 6 that the People’s Liberation Army Air Force had carried out a large-scale air exercise to South China Sea. Among the official photos released is one showing the Su-30MKK doing a mid-air refueling. This is the first official confirmation that the Chinese Su-30MKK has an air fueling capability.
