VAW-112 and four of its E-2Cs returned home to Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, on Aug. 9 after a seven-month deployment aboard USS John C. Stennis. This is the last cruise for the unit as it will disband in 2017.

VAW-115 will relocate from Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan to Point Mugu to replace VAW-112.
