South Korea has decided that it will arm the first batch of Incheon-class frigates with the supersonic Haeseong II ship-to-surface cruise missile.

A total of six ships were produced in the first production run and the modifications will start next month.
To accommodate the new missiles, the ships will have angled canister launchers installed on their decks.
