Canada needs to pay $313 million to exit F-35 program

Canada’s Liberal government has calculated that if it was to withdraw from the F-35 program today, its financial liability would be $313 million.

The amount is the difference of what Ottawa had contributed so far since 2006 and the $551 million it pledged to commit when it enrolled into the program.
