Pentagon yet to select platform for its Arsenal Plane concept

At a recent briefing with reporters, director of the Pentagon’s Strategic Capabilities Office says the platform for its Arsenal Plane concept is yet to be selected.

“It’s not until we start doing the engineering of trying to make it an Arsenal Plane that we’ll find out which ones do the best job,” William Roper said.

He also clarified that the Arsenal Plane concept is not related to Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Gremlins concept – which a C-130 will launch and retrieve a swarm of UAVs.
