South Korean Lynx crashes during joint drill with U.S. Navy

A Republic of Korea Navy Lynx naval helicopters with three on board crashed at 8:57 p.m. on Sept. 26 during a joint exercise with the U.S. Navy.

A press statement from the U.S. 7th Fleet said the drill was “a combined maritime operation in waters East of the Korean Peninsula,” and ” is in response to recent North Korean provocations and is designed to send a strong message of unified resolve against continuing acts of North Korean aggression.”
