VP-47’s final P-3 deployment locations are El Salvador, Japan
VP-47 has embarked on its final P-3C deployment before the squadron switches to the P-8A next year. The squadron is split into two supporting the 7th Fleet at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan and the 4th Fleet at Comalapa, El Salvador.

RSM-56 Bulava self-destructed
Russia’s Borei-class ballistic missile submarine, Yuriy Dolgorukiy, test-fired two RSM-56 Bulava submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM) on Sept. 28 and one of the missile self-destruct in flight.

Czech, Slovak to sign joint sky agreement later this year
