U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and Pacific Affairs, Daniel Russel, told lawmakers that the THAAD air defense missile system will be deployed to South Korea as soon as possible.
Russel could not provide a specific time frame for that but said Seoul will reveal the timing once details are finalized.
