Turkey developing C-RAM to shoot down rockets fired from Syria

In an interview with CNN Turk, Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Isik said the country is in the final stages of a developing a new Counter Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (C-RAM) system that will be able to intercept incoming rockets fired by ISIL from Syria.


The system is based on the Korkut self-propelled anti-aircraft guns being develop by Aselsan. Isik was quoted as saying that final testing of the system is being carried out.
