The attack started around 7 p.m. local time and over a 60-minute period, two missiles were fired at the ship but both fell into the Red Sea before reaching the ship.

Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said: “There were no injuries to our sailors and no damage to the ship.”

An anonymous defense official told Reuters that the first missile attack triggered the ship’s countermeasure systems.

This incident is just now of Bab al-Mandab strait where a UAE ship was hit by an anti-ship missile last week.
