Manila will sign a leasing agreement with Tokyo today for five TC-90s. The cost is $7,000 each for four of the aircraft while another will cost $2,000 to lease each year.

Defense Undersecretary for Finance Raymundo de Vera Elefante disclosed that the agreement can be renewed each year.
“It’s almost for free. Training will also be free and it will help us (in) guarding our shores, from the air.”
