U.S. Air Force, Navy in joint exercise to protect Ike CSG from aerial threats

Two F-22s and two tankers from the U.S. Air Force join 13 warplanes from the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (Ike CSG) on Oct. 25 for a joint air defense exercise (ADEX) in the Arabian Gulf.

The objective of the exercise was to improve integration of Navy and Air Force defense efforts while protecting aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike) from simulated aerial threats.
