It will take 8-10 months to deploy THAAD in South Korea

Gen. Vincent Brooks, commander of United States Forces Korea, told reporters that the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery to be deployed in South Korea will only be ready in the first half of next year at the earliest.

“You’re gonna see the deployment of a THAAD battery. This is an alliance decision. It will come in the next eight to ten months. That is an army unit and a larger configuration than the one in Guam.”
