The Royal Air Force has been forced to carry out urgent repairs to its E-3D early warning aircraft after an issue was discovered with the aircraft’s electrical cabling.

A spokesman said the problem was discovered during routine technical inspection of the aircraft.
The repairs on the electrical wiring and cabin conditioning system will be carried out at RAF Coningsby.
