India’s 2nd indigenous carrier will be nuclear-powered, EMALS-equipped

The Business Standard has obtained more information regarding India’s second indigenous aircraft carrier.

Naval planners spoke anonymously to the newspaper and said the warship will be powered by a nuclear reactor.

The planes will be launched using the American-made Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and the ship has a capacity for 55 planes.

However, the ship is unlikely to enter service until 2030.
