The deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea is moving forward with Seoul reaching an agreement with Lotte Group to acquire its golf course in Seongju county.
Under the agreement, the Ministry of National Defense will swap one of its land near Seoul with Lotte in exchange for the golf course. Valuators will determine whether the government has to give a bigger piece of land or top up with cash after the value of the golf course has been determined.
