Germany could spend up to 1 billion Euro on MRTT program

A German budget document seen by Reuters said Berlin could spend around 1 billion euros for its participation in the European multinational MRTT fleet.

For a start, Germany will have to pay around 2.5 million euros for membership fees to join the program.

The program will see a pool of A330 MRTT tankers stationed in Holland for sharing between partners. So far, Netherlands and Luxembourg have signed up while Norway and Belgium are considering the offer too.
