The German Ministry of Defense has been looking at various locations in the Middle East so that it can relocate its Tornado ECR fighters currently deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.

The analysis of alternative sites was at the request of Parliament. German lawmakers have been denied access to see those aircraft and visit the personnel deployed in Turkey by the Turkish government.
German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen suggested Azraq air base in Jordan as the alternative.
Why not relocate to germany?
