Tunisia admits U.S. drones are patrolling along its border with Libya

The United States has been flying its drones along the Tunisian-Libyan border to ward of attacks by Islamic State, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi disclosed on television on Nov. 24.

Essebsi said the drones were unarmed and he denied that the U.S. has a drone base in the country. U.S. sources said last month that American drones were being flown out of a Tunisian air base.
