NH Industries is still talking to existing customers of the NH90 troop transport helicopter (TTH) about the possible launch of a dedicated special forces variant, Vincent Dubrule, president of the NHI consortium said.

Australia, France, Germany, Italy and New Zealand had sent representatives to meet and discuss on the proposal.
The new variant will have a trapdoor for fast roping of troops and the rear windows are enlarged for machine guns.
Dubrule added that the modifications would be available as either line- or retrofit options.
